What's a "connection"?
A connection is one device actively streaming at the same time. Every plan is sold by the number of connections it includes — that's the maximum number of devices that can watch simultaneously on your account.

Real-world examples by plan
1-Connection Plan
Streaming (counts as 1): Firestick in the living room is playing a movie.
Not streaming (doesn't count): Your phone has the app installed but is not watching anything right now.
Result: 1 of 1 connection used. The phone can open the app and browse, but as soon as it starts playing, the Firestick stream would be blocked.
2-Connection Plan
Streaming (counts as 2): Bedroom Smart TV playing the game + iPad in the kitchen playing cartoons.
Not streaming (doesn't count): Phone in your pocket with the app closed. Living room Firestick is on but the app is idle on the home screen.
Result: 2 of 2 connections used. You can take that phone on a trip and stream while someone watches at home — but then the bedroom TV or iPad would need to stop first.
3-Connection Plan
Streaming (counts as 3): Firestick at home playing sports + iPad at the gym playing a movie + Smart TV at grandma's house playing cartoons.
Not streaming (doesn't count): Your laptop has the app installed but is shut off. Phone is browsing social media, not the XtremeLiveTV app.
Result: 3 of 3 connections used. Three locations, three active streams — all at the exact same moment. A 4th device trying to play will be blocked until one stops.
4-Connection Plan
Streaming (counts as 4): Living room TV + bedroom Roku + phone at work on break + iPad at a hotel.
Not streaming (doesn't count): Kids' tablets have the app but are currently playing games. Office computer has the app installed but is asleep.
Result: 4 of 4 connections used. Four devices across four different places all streaming simultaneously on one account. Perfect for families spread out during the day.
5-Connection Plan
Streaming (counts as 5): Home theater + bedroom TV + office laptop + phone on the road + friend's Firestick at their house.
Not streaming (doesn't count): Basement TV has the app but the family isn't down there right now. Your old phone still has the app but hasn't been opened in weeks.
